Over a decade ago I read Romeo & Juliet and actually got to understand it because I was cast in the play as Benvolio. Actually 'living out' the story gave it a lot of depth for me. I was inspired by the story and Benvolio's part in it. I got to thinking about what happened to poor Benvolio. All his friends were now dead and he was in the middle of the scandal. I started writing ideas in my head. This got me started on the idea of stories that give the readers the idea of what happened next. And thus the "What Next" series was born. I have many stories almost completely fleshed out in my head and couple outlines written down.
This book is one of those stories. This one is inspired by the children's cartoon, "Dragon Tales"©. I am not sure why I am choosing this to be the first book of the series, but it is definitely one of the ones I like a lot. The story really focuses in on the adult life of a child who honesltly believes in Dragonland but can't prove, which, in this day and age, is a pretty sure fire way to end up in a looney bin or on the street scaring small children. I hope you enjoy my tale.
